Baby Girl On The Way!

It seems surreal that in less than eight weeks we will be welcoming a little girl into our family. Kyle and I feel blessed we are having a baby girl, and Jaxon is thrilled to be a "big brubber." It took him some time to get used the idea that he wouldn't get to have a brother, but now he prays for "baby sister" every night before bedtime and talks to my tummy occasionally. It's very sweet.

I am 32 weeks and June 17th at 7:30 a.m. is our scheduled C-section due date as of now. Until then, we have gotten many things in order. The nursery is all set up. To make Jaxon feel good, we also updated his bedroom and converted it into a "big boy room" which he is very proud to show others. We have most of the gear already, minus a few things. Hospital bags are three-quarters packed and we even put together a "Big Brother Goodie Bag" for Jaxon for the day she is born so he receives something too. I packed his goodie bag with his Big Brother t-shirt to wear at the hospital, coloring books and crayons, some of his favorite snacks, a brand new Thomas the Train (he loves Thomas the Train!), something for him to give his baby sister and a book I created online about what it means to be a big brother. It's a very special book because it has his name and baby sister's name in it, which made for a very interesting purchase as it basically solidified our baby name decision. Yikes!

So, now all we need is the baby! :) In the meantime, here are some photos of our baby girl. Some of her favorite things include bouncing around in my tummy all day, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep and getting the hiccups. We can't wait to meet you baby girl! Until then, keep growing and stay safe.
